Greetings Comrades. I hope the summer is going well for all of you. Even though the temperatures are in the 25 to 30C range right now, we do know what is in store a bit later on. November is coming and so is Remembrance Day.

On October 25th our Poppy Campaign will begin and our "Tagging Chart" will be pinned on the bulletin board near the Lounge. Our actual Tagging days will be November 1st and 2nd. Please mark these dates on your calendar and commit yourself to two (or more) hours to help with our campaign.

Remember, the Poppy Campaign is the foundation of the Remembrance Program which ensures that Veterans and their families are cared for and treated with the respect they deserve. The only way this can be achieved is through volunteers such as you.

Bruce Ferguson, Poppy Chair

Our Deepest sympathy is expressed to the family of Ordinary Members Alexander Parkhill and Gerry Quinn.

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.” - Laurence Binyon

If you hear of a member passing away, please contact the office and let the Secretary know.  This way we can ensure to include them in the next Bulletin and on this Branch News page.

Best wishes are extended to all Comrades who are at:

Home Bernadette Lacourse, Winnie Fraser
Bonnechere Manor Pat Griese, Mel Scobie, Dan Deslaurier
Groves Park Lodge Norman Warren
Mirimichi Lodge Cecil Code
Quail Creek Olga Llewellyn

If you know of anyone who is in residence at the above or any other long-term facility, please contact Rev. Bruce Ferguson at the Branch so that we can put their names in the next Bulletin and on this Branch News page.
