Hello Comrades – I hope this newsletter finds everyone well. We have had a busy summer, with various barbecues over the past couple of months. I would like to thank everyone who helped during the bacon-on-a-bun barbecue in September and our recent barbecue – Tena, Kelly, Tracy, Chris, Jessica, Laura, Sheila, Nathan, Dennis and Joanie; to our Bar Stewards, Tim, Brian, and Kim for keeping the lounge open; to Debbie for her advertising of all events on our website and Facebook pages; to Richard, for all that he has done around the Branch; and to everyone who has come out to support us. The Executive approved a gofundme page for the Branch, which is located at https://gf.me/u/y2hpk2. Every little bit helps to keep our doors open, so that we can continue to assist our veterans and local youth.
Please remember to wear your mask, and to sign the attendance book in the Lounge – this is mandatory and very important for contact tracing, should we be contacted by the Renfrew County and District Health Unit. Masks are mandatory now in the Province upon entering a building – when you are seated, you may remove your mask, but you must wear it when walking around in the Branch. We are doing everything to keep everyone safe.
Please take the time to read our bulletin, as there is information regarding the Poppy Campaign this year.
